Tough Faith Questions
A recent study conducted by a child psychologist found that young children ask an average of 73 questions per day! If you've ever felt exhausted by your child's constant questions -- or if you've felt panicked that you don't know the answer - you're definitely not alone; around 50% of respondents felt the exact same way. But while Google can bail us out with a lot of questions, sometimes the more complicated faith questions our kids ask leave us feeling truly tongue-tied: "Where is God?" "What happens after we die" "Why did Jesus have to die?"

As you explore the responses to the questions below, please keep two important things in mind:
- It's always OK to say "I don't know". Just make you that you follow that up by sharing what you personally think about it, and asking what your child thinks. Children typically aren't looking for perfect answers to the questions they ask - they're just curious and want to hear an adult reflect on it!
- If you're truly stumped, tell them that you'd like to think about it more together. Spend time looking up resources or talking to someone else together. If you need time to reflect alone, bring it up with your child later.
