The Bible is complex and beautiful, containing over 1,000 years of writings about God and life from several dozen authors. It's also really long. Many of us feel intimidated by the Bible's size and we don't even have a clue about where to begin, so this list is meant as a helpful introduction. (All Bible passages are from the NRSV translation unless otherwise noted)
