Saul to Paul

Verses Covered
Bible - Acts 9:1-19
Spark Bible - pages 514 to 519

We’ll be in the season of Eastertide for the reminder of our church year, as we cover the growth of the early church in Acts… and it’s difficult to talk about the growth of the early church without talking about Paul!  Although he was not one of Jesus’ original disciples, Paul would go on to be incredibly influential in the early church – helping to spread Jesus’ good news in cities throughout modern day Turkey and Greece and writing letters that would inspire Christians throughout the ages.  Before any of that, though, Paul was an early antagonist of Christians – arresting and persecuting many before his dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus.  This Sunday, we’ll be learning about Paul’s conversion – and reflecting on how his dramatic reversal helped the early church grow and thrive.
