Good Friday

Verses Covered
Bible - Luke 23:1-56
Spark Bible - pages 474 to 481

Good Friday is without a doubt the most somber day in our church calendar, and many of us understandably try to shield our kids from the reality of what Jesus went through.  I believe, however, that it is still important for children to hear and learn about the sadness of this day, rather than just experience the highs of Palm Sunday and Easter.  We don't need to get into the details with our kids, but we can share that Jesus loved us so much that he was willing to die for us - and this day is a reminder of the power of God's love, even in times of sadness.
