Devotion: Our daughter was interested in the idea of the Lord being near at Christmas-time. To her, the Lord is near because Jesus was born in the manger and many people came to see him on his birthday. He grew up to teach people to be kind. We can rejoice in the Lord at Christmas by being grateful and kind, by being good friends, and by being good moms and dads and brothers and sisters.
Prayer: Dear God, we pray to be grateful and be nice and kind and be friends at Christmas.
