Day 23 - Monday
Bible Verses: Luke 5:17-26
Spark Bible: Four Friends (p.348)
Devotion: In this passage Jesus shows us that if we have faith and believe in him that he is with us and forgives our sins.
We spent some time thinking about what a great teacher we have in Jesus. We talked about little mistakes we make sometimes. Whether we forget to share with our friends or get upset when asked to do something around the house. What Jesus taught us in this passage is that God forgives us for all our mistakes.
We also talked about how some things seem “impossible” but with perseverance, hard work and Jesus by our side, we can accomplish pretty much anything that we set our mind to … that nothing really is “impossible.”
Reflection: Think about the times we feel we don’t make the right choice or can’t quite get to the finish line on what we set out to accomplish. Sometimes we may feel alone, sad and frustrated. How can we lean on God during those times and have faith in him?
Prayer: God, thank you for forgiving our sins and for being with us always.
