Advent Wreath
Although well known in the context of Advent worship, making an Advent wreath as a family can be a fun and fulfilling way to mark time and build the anticipation of Jesus' arrival on Christmas.
To make the wreath, you will need
To begin, slightly dip the wreath form into water for 2-3 seconds so it soaks up a moderate amount of water. Once the form feels damp, take the 4 candle cups and insert them into the damp wreath form. Careful not to press too hard or else the form may break! After inserting the candle cups, you may either insert the candles, or just begin inserting the greens into gather small bunches of green and push into oasis. When you are all finished, step back and admire your creation!
The candles are lit each Sunday during Advent; I generally recommend sharing a prayer related to the theme of that Sunday's candle, praying for both your family and for the world:

- 1st Sunday: Hope (purple)
- 2nd Sunday: Preparation (purple)
- 3rd Sunday: Joy (pink) - the pink candle represents joy in an otherwise somber Advent season
- 4th Sunday: Love (purple)
- Christmas Day: you may also place a white candle (the Christ candle) in the center of the wreath form and then light it to celebrate Jesus’ birth!
